The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head Chef who is able to deliver a high volume of orders, lead the kitchen staff and liaise with restaurant owner, suppliers and managers.

Skills needed for the position

  • Attention to detail when preparing and cooking food- Strong time management skills - Ability to design menus and organise kitchen staff schedules efficiently - Ensure that food is cooked and prepared with consideration of customers' dietary requirements - Manging all kitchen operations, including but not limited to ordering the supplies and ingredients from the suppliers- Train and lead kitchen staff- Ability to manage ingredients while minimising waste- Ensure that kitchen staff comply with health and safety requirements as well as maintain kitchen hygiene - Ensure that all dishes are of high quality at all times- Mentoring kitchen chefs on cooking techniques and methods

Qualifications and skills

  • At least 2 years' experience running high volume kitchens - Candidates with qualification in the hospitality and food safety are highly desirable - Strong leadership and time management skills in the kitchen - Communicate and liaise efficiently with kitchen staff, managers, suppliers and owner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
