ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to join our team in a
permanent full-time role
, based on site at
448 Epsom Rd, Flemington VIC 3031
(hybrid model available, subject to role requirements). The role will commence
as soon as possible
.

You will be responsible for leading the
accreditation
and supporting
ticketing operations
to ensure a seamless experience for members, partners, participants, and the public across race days and events. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role that requires strong coordination skills and the ability to perform under pressure, particularly during major events.

As part of this role, you will be required to work across all
four days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival
– Derby Day, Melbourne Cup, Oaks Day, and Stakes Day – and be flexible and reliable during the peak event period, where a 24/7 operation is in place.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accreditation

  • Lead the end-to-end accreditation program – planning, system setup, database management, production, and distribution.
  • Manage access control levels and ensure accurate pass allocations across all stakeholders, including staff, contractors, media, partners, and participants.
  • Oversee on-site accreditation during events, resolving access issues quickly while upholding security protocols.
  • Maintain secure and efficient entry processes across venues, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy standards.

Ticketing

  • Support the Ticketing Operations Lead across all ticketing functions, including event builds, pricing, website setup, and communications.
  • Coordinate ticketing requirements for diverse customer groups – members, corporate clients, owners, contractual partners, and the general public.
  • Manage ticketing inventory, track performance, and report on sales.
  • Process ticket requests accurately and promptly, providing excellent customer support.
  • Prepare and distribute tickets for VIPs, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver seamless on-the-ground ticketing operations, including access control and troubleshooting on race days.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in accreditation and ticketing, or within major sporting/event operations.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Australian horse racing and the Melbourne Cup Carnival (highly regarded).
  • A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach – with a genuine "can-do" attitude.
