As a Field Operative, you will play a key role in providing mobile response, vehicle-based patrols, incident and alarm response, and general protection duties across Victoria. This is a highly dynamic role that requires professionalism, discretion, and adaptability while maintaining a secure environment and delivering outstanding client service.
What you'll do:
- Identify possible threats and risks posed to the client, staff, and assets, prioritise these threats and determine appropriate response, protection and mitigating strategies to counter identified threats.
- Evaluate risk for both individuals and property and produce dynamic risk assessments.
- Provision of physical protection of client and assets including regular patrols, monitoring of systems and prompt response to security and medical alerts.
- Establish and maintain relationships with various levels of stakeholders of any site.
- Provision of patrol and response functions to client assets.
- Driving, travel, and other protection duties as required.
- Manage security related incidents. The role will investigate and compile relevant incident reports for distribution to the security department, and any other involved parties to the incident.
- Engage and work as part of a 24/7 team to yield more efficient and constructive ways to serve the client's needs.
- Assist with event protection, developing, and implementing security and emergency plans for events.
- Participate in training and operations of the protection team, in operations, escalations, responses, emergencies and crisis.
What we're looking for:
- Currently maintains, or has the ability to obtain, relevant industry licences.
- Currently maintains an unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated understanding of security principles in protecting critical infrastructure, executive protection or residential assets
- Ability to work as part of a team undertaking a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to maintain composure in dealing with the principals, clients, staff, and the public occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Strong client service and results orientated.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Appropriately handles exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
- Serve as a positive and effective team member.
- Law enforcement, military or security experience in high-risk responsibility roles, and experience with weapons and tactics in a tactical, law enforcement or security environment will be highly regarded.
