Position OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close activities, including finalising revenue, cost-of-sales, inventory adjustments and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including accruals and prepayments) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Review the Profit & Loss statement holistically, providing insights and commentary on key variances.
  • Drive inventory accounting and cost allocations, ensuring finished goods reflect all raw materials, packaging, and related manufacturing costs.
  • Manage compliance obligations including BAS returns (IAS, PAYG, GST), Payroll Tax, and FBT.
  • Oversee and review payroll activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and reconcile supplier deposits and final invoices, ensuring adherence to agreed payment terms and accurate cash flow reporting.
  • Assist in the half-yearly audit process, liaising with external auditors.
  • Driving continuous improvement across accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Supervise and support a junior team member, providing guidance, review, and development opportunities.
  • Act as a backup across the finance team, providing coverage when colleagues are on leave.

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a chartered environment.
  • Proven experience in inventory accounting, cost allocations, and month-end reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of BAS, FBT, Payroll tax, and compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for process efficiency.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
