Training Assessor

I am seeking a training assessor to do a large number of training assessments in a manufacturing environment. This is to do technical assessments, to sign people off as being competent, subject to them demonstrating competency, on a number of machines.

Duties

  • Review Work Instructions and ensure familiarity with work instructions;
  • Develop assessment forms based on existing Work Instructions, for assessing employees;
  • Assess employees, via observation and in terms of them explaining their understanding of work instructions;
  • Sign employees off as competent when they have demonstrated competency;
  • Report on progress towards assessing all employees, regarding all competencies they have attained;
  • Make recommendations to management about improving training and assessment procedures;
  • Recommend changes to Work Instructions.

Skills required to perform this role

  • Must have a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Highly motivated and able to set and achieve project goals
  • Must have full work rights, including the ability to work full-time work hours.

This is a casual position with 2-3 months of work, which may lead to longer term opportunities.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Thomastown VIC 3074: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • trainind and assessment: 2 years (Required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (Required)
