About Us

The Institute of Management and Computing (IMC) is a Registered Training Organisation and CRICOS provider based in Melbourne, delivering high-quality vocational education to both domestic and international students.

We are currently expanding our Building and Construction Faculty and are seeking qualified Trainers and Assessors to deliver and assess across several Certificate III and Certificate IV trade qualifications.

Positions Available

We are hiring experienced Trainers and Assessors for the following nationally recognised qualifications:

• CPC33020 – Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
• MSF30322 – Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
• CPC30220 – Certificate III in Carpentry
• CPC30620 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
• CPC31020 – Certificate III in Solid Plastering
• CPC31320 – Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
• CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction

Essential Requirements (for all positions)

Hold the relevant trade qualification (as listed above, or higher in the same field).

Hold TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its equivalent under ASQA requirements).

Have a minimum of 3 years current industry experience (5 years for Building & Construction IV).

Demonstrated experience delivering and assessing competency-based training.

Sound understanding of the Standards for RTOs 2025, VET Quality Framework, and ESOS/National Code 2018 for CRICOS providers.

Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Must have Australian work rights and current White Card (for construction-related trades).

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience training international (CRICOS) students.

Diploma or higher in Adult & Vocational Education or Training Design.

Familiarity with training package development, LMS delivery, and validation processes.

Current membership in an industry or professional association.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess units of competency according to the relevant Training Package.
• Ensure compliance with ASQA and CRICOS standards in all aspects of training and assessment.
• Maintain industry currency and undertake regular professional development.
• Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support and mentor students to achieve competency in both practical and theoretical components.
• Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.

Pay: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour
