About the role

NQ Crash & 4WD Spares is looking for a dedicated Parts Inventory Specialist. You will play a key role in Inventorying quality used parts and end-of-life vehicles on an ongoing daily basis, in order to meet inventory targets in order to achieve sales.

We are looking for someone who has industry experience in a body shop, collision shop or mechanical shop who is wanting to still use their years of skills and experience but not necessarily on the tools each day. You must be very computer savvy and have an excellent eye for detail to succeed in this role, as our sales team is depending on you

What you'll be doing

  • Thoroughly inspect wrecked vehicles to determine extent and type of damage in order to identify and classify salvageable parts for sale
  • Inventorying whole end-of-life vehicles and salvageable parts via our computerised inventory system
  • Identifying and describing the condition of the used parts for sale accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • Assist with disassembly of vehicles being inventoried and other wrecking yard duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Attention to detail is most important aspect of the job 100%, as this role all focused on identifying and reporting part conditions, identifying and uploading correct part/interchange numbers, and taking/uploading good quality pictures of the each vehicle and each part accurately
  • Computer literacy is a must – especially the use of hand-held wireless inventory devices
  • Ability to take good photos of vehicles and parts and upload them to our software program

  • must have a current Forklift licence prior to start in order to be able to move wrecks in and out of the outside inventory bay

  • 100% accuracy while entering and maintaining Used Parts into our inventory management system
