The Company

Join a well-established construction company specialising in insurance repairs and strata work. With long-standing partnerships with Australia's leading insurance companies and loss assessors, this business continues to thrive and grow. Due to increasing demand, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator/Supervisor to join their high-performing team in Sydney.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a dual Estimator/Supervisor role where you'll be responsible for assessing property damage, estimating repair costs, and supervising trades to ensure timely, high-quality restorations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting building insurance assessments and preparing detailed reports
  • Supervising building reinstatement works
  • Engaging, coordinating, and managing trades throughout the restoration process
  • Monitoring job progress and resolving issues as they arise
  • Liaising with insurance companies and insured parties
  • Organising property access with insured clients
  • Managing disputes and delivering timely resolutions
  • Ensuring all works comply with OH&S requirements and contractual obligations
  • Coordinating inspections and sign-offs from building surveyors

The Candidate

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervising role
  • Previous experience in insurance building (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Trade qualifications in building (carpentry preferred) or a related field
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Solid computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Good knowledge of OHS legislation and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with current market rates and trade practices
  • The ability to provide accurate estimates independently
  • A current and valid driver's license
