Join a dedicated team of professionals where you'll build strong relationships and provide outstanding support to our business banking clients.
In this role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of business customers, maintaining regular contact to understand their needs and provide tailored financial solutions. You'll manage client applications, submissions, and portfolios with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence.
You'll also play a key role in driving business growth by leveraging referrals, leads, and your professional network. Promoting our full suite of products and services, you'll represent our brand with professionalism and integrity, ensuring every interaction reflects our values and commitment to outstanding client service.
What will your key responsibilities include?
- Manage a portfolio of loan and credit applications, maintaining regular contact with customers to ensure a high standard of service.
- Assess loan viability and security, making informed approval or decline decisions within delegated authority limits, while managing ongoing account performance.
- Ensure compliance with commercial lending policies and procedures, with a strong focus on documentation quality and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit credit facility requests that exceed personal approval limits for higher-level review.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of referral sources, collaborating closely with internal business partners to drive new business.
- Proactively promote a full suite of financial products and services to members, identifying opportunities to meet customer needs.
- Achieve sales targets and ancillary product budgets through personalised customer engagement.
- Prioritise daily workload and manage workflow effectively to maximise productivity and service delivery.
- Represent the organisation at industry events and networking functions to grow professional connections and enhance brand presence.
What are we looking for?
- A proven ability to build relationships, network, and enhance brand awareness within the local community.
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to negotiate and influence for successful business outcomes.
- Certificate IV in Credit Management (or equivalent) and FSRA Tier 2 accreditation.
- Prior lending experience, preferably in business banking.
- Excellent time management & organisation; strong skills in prioritising tasks and managing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Results-oriented; driven to achieve goals and contribute to broader team outcomes.
- Committed to delivering outstanding service and understanding the needs of business customers.
- Strong understanding of financial and market analysis tools, along with credit risk assessment.
