About the Role
As our IT Business Development Manager at Canon Business Services, you'll be responsible for driving growth and cultivating strong, long-term client relationships. This is a field-based role where you'll have the backing of a highly skilled team, supported by dedicated lead generation and cross-functional specialists to set you up for success.
You'll be trusted to:
- Own and achieve gross profit sales targets and KPIs.
- Prospect, qualify, and secure new business within our clearly defined ideal customer segment.
- Build, manage, and progress your sales pipeline, converting prospects into long-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with revenue goals.
- Leverage your technical and commercial knowledge of products and services and communicate value in a way that resonates with a diverse customer base.
- Deliver the end-to-end sales cycle with confidence and professionalism—including cold calling, client meetings, qualification, presentations, quoting, proposals, and closing.
This is a role for someone who wants to take ownership, work with autonomy, and be recognised for the results they deliver.
About You
You're a driven, ambitious sales professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys the challenge of building something meaningful. You're motivated by results, but equally passionate about creating genuine, long-term partnerships with your clients.
With a proven track record in IT business development, you understand the nuances of enterprise sales and know how to position solutions that deliver real business impact. You're a natural networker, skilled communicator, and strategic thinker who's not afraid to pick up the phone or walk into a boardroom.
We're looking for someone with:
Exceptional Communication Skills - able to confidently engage with senior decision-makers, including C-level executives.
IT Managed Services Expertise - experience navigating complex IT sales cycles and designing solutions that help clients optimise, automate, and transform their IT infrastructure.
Networking Prowess - a strong ability to build relationships quickly and open doors to new opportunities.
Sales Mastery - deep understanding of the sales process, objectives, and effective closing strategies.
Strategic & Innovative Thinking - a solutions-focused mindset with the creativity to think outside the box.
Self-Motivation & Drive - a curious, proactive, resilient personality with the hunger to succeed and the discipline to make it happen.
