Melbourne, Victoria, Australia DWS Limited Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

DWS is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with around two years of corporate experience in a similar position, who has completed tertiary studies in accounting, and is currently working towards (or now wishes to start working towards) their CPA or CA qualification.

Working in a dedicated team you will have a broad range of duties, including;

  • Processing sales invoices and accounts payable
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and maintaining general ledger transactions
  • Assisting with period-end financial statements, external audits, and staff travel bookings
  • Collaborating with Business Development Managers
  • Supporting office administration and other ad hoc tasks as needed

Type: Permanent, full time

Start: early January 2026

Salary: up to $90K (inc super) depending on experience

Where: Melbourne CBD

Style: Hybrid; 2 days per week in office + WFH

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • Approximately 2 years experience in an Assistant Accountant role
  • Desire to work towards CPA / CA qualification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where customer service is a key focus
  • Strong problem solving and conceptual skills, with very high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and staff at all levels
  • Self-motivated, proactive and flexible
