Cultural Support Officer

• Permanent part-time - 38 hours per fortnight
• Salary from $77,113 - $82,504 per annum, plus superannuation

About the Role

Interested in learning more about culture and the arts? This permanent part-time role lets you take on a key role in supporting the Gallery Curator to run the Wanneroo Regional Art Gallery, and its exciting annual exhibition program.

The successful applicant will primarily work Wednesday – Friday, and be responsible for:

• Daily arts team administrative tasks
• Support the implementation of our annual exhibition program
• Event and task scheduling, and program support
• Coordinating promotional material (including social media) in collaboration with the Communication and Brand Team
• Processing purchase orders and invoice management
• Assist with the rostering of our casual team of Relief Officers through Microsoft Teams Shifts application

About You

As a collaborative member of the Cultural Services team, the position is accountable for providing a high level of customer service to both the City's external and internal stakeholders. The successful applicant must be adaptable, values driven and proactive. They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation.   As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their resume and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:

• Qualification in a relevant discipline such as visual arts, art history or event management, or relevant experience
• Ability to work in a busy and collaborative team environment
• Intermediate experience in administrative and financial processes
• Working knowledge of art handling, installation, and exhibition display
• A demonstrated passion for arts and culture
• Is physically fit for the activities to be undertaken
• Is able to undertake some work outside of standard business hours, which may include weekends, to meet critical deadlines
