The Position
This mechanical position is to provide mechanical diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair to our range of specialised mobile earthmoving equipment. This includes new, company and customer owned machines. This role is well-suited to a mechanic who has recently completed their apprenticeship and is now looking for an area, or new direction to develop skills and mechanical knowledge.
There will be overtime and, at times away work opportunities. The successful candidate will be trained and groomed into a technician with highly valuable specialist mechanical knowledge and skills.
The Candidate
The candidate will need to hold a Cert III Mechanic/Diesel Fitter, or similar. One of the biggest prerequisites for this role is someone who's 'mechanically-minded'. Simply meaning, an individual how has the ability to understand and learn new machinery and can get their head around mechanical systems and their operation. A good attitude towards work and fellow work mates along with sound communications skills are essential.
