Mechanical Engineer

What is your role?
You will be responsible for the design and documentation of mechanical services, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical ventilation, and other building services systems, guiding projects from concept through to construction.
You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, builders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions. Your work will ensure compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and local authority requirements.
You will also conduct site inspections, coordinate with contractors during construction, and contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design strategies. Engaging directly with clients to understand their needs, you will deliver tailored mechanical solutions that meet performance and regulatory requirements.
For those with more experience, there will be opportunities to mentor junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and promoting technical excellence across the team.

About You
- Educational Background:
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline). - Experience:
4+ years of mechanical engineering experience within the Australian Building Services industry, with demonstrated expertise in delivering projects from early concept design through to construction completion. - Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical services design, load calculations, energy efficiency principles, and an in-depth understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards - Attributes:
Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive approach to project delivery.
