The Opportunity

We currently have Housekeeping positions available in our Residential facility

The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible to provide cleaning services which contribute to a safe, clean and home like living environment for residents and staff.

You must be available to work Monday to Friday.

Permanent Part time and casual roles available in House Keeping.

Key Responsibilities

· To ensure a safe work environment by adopting safe work practices.

· Maintain good working relationships with staff, residents and families.

· Always maintain and respect employee, consumer and organisational confidentiality.

· Actively participate in meetings and discussions in a constructive manner.

· Communicate with consumers and colleagues in a kind and caring manner, taking into account individual cultural and religious preferences.

· Work as part of a busy team and be supportive of other team members.

· Prioritise workload and use care resources effectively and efficiently.

· Provide cleaning services according to established cleaning schedules.

· Mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors, shampooing of carpets, damp dusting, waste management and restocking of supplies.

· Assist with laundry practices as required.

· Maintain records of completion of cleaning schedule duties.

· Safe storage and use of cleaning / laundry agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.

· Participate in the infection control program.

· Contribute to a safe environment when undertaking duties ensuring equipment is not obscuring exits and passageways

Essential

· Time management and organisational skills to perform at the required standard.

· Good physical health.

· Ability to work in a diverse team.

· Satisfactory national police check within the last three years or the ability to obtain one.

· Satisfactory evidence of working rights in Australia.
