About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join ACS Australian Construction Services Pty Ltd as a Contracts Administrator. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of our civil and commercial projects. Working closely with supervisors, project managers and key stakeholders, you will oversee all aspects of contract administration to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the full lifecycle of contracts and project administration, including:
- Preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts, extensions of time, and variations – including undertaking quality checks on key contractual documents to ensure compliance with internal procedure and contractual requirements
- Monitoring project budgets, timelines, compliance requirements, and reporting accurately to stakeholders ensuring compliance with contractual terms
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships
- Assisting in tender preparation, RFQ, procurement processes, and ensuring timely delivery of trades, materials, and services
- Administering claims, progress payments, and financial documentation
- Onboarding and monitoring subcontractors' documentation, so they remain compliant while working on our projects.
· Proactively identifying and managing contract risks to meet organisational obligations and achieve the planned outcomes of the contract.
- Supporting project managers in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard
- Document Management - Organize, file, and maintain all contractual documents, correspondence, and reports in both physical and digital formats
- Compile and prepare commercial reports for the management team, providing insights into project financial and contractual status
- Help assemble and submit bid packages, coordinate with suppliers, and manage subcontractor letting processes
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
· –5+ years of proven experience in Contract Administration within the construction industry (commercial, civil infrastructure projects), preferably with Tier 1 or 2 Contractor
· Formal qualification in a relevant field
· Strong understanding of Australian regulations, codes, contract law, and cost control
· Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation
· Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a focus on risk mitigation
· Experience in preparing and managing contracts, subcontracts, variations, procurement, and claims
· Proficiency in a construction software such as MS Project, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite
· Excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
· Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
· Project WHS documentation skills will be highly valued
