About the engagement:
Green Light are currently looking for a skilled 
Contracts Manager
to join our delivery team in Canberra. The contracts manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, as well as identifying and mitigating any potential risks associated with the contracts. You will be in control of preparing appropriate reports, assessments, and records, which allow management to make informed decisions that improve project profitability and assist the business to achieve its objective.
This role does require an
active AGSVA baseline or NV1 clearance at a minimum
. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist to deploy a sophisticated contract management strategy and present innovative ideas.
- Liaise with Suppliers/Subcontractors on new projects and projects expansions.
- Prepare and issue tender packages of work to obtain competitive pricing from reliable suppliers and set KPI's to monitor progress.
- Project initiation, ITT Process/evaluation
- Compare and reconcile tender submissions.
- Review completeness, conformity, price variance, commercial departures, technical departures,
- Negotiate rates/pricing schedules.
- Develop business cases, recommendations, and justification to obtain approvals.
- Record and maintain Contract Register
- New Supplier set-up/Negotiate with Suppliers on terms and conditions.
- Execute Completed Agreement and prepare detailed handover pack for the Project.
- Handover/Kick off/Progress meetings/ Project initiation-start up.
- Support internal stakeholders with Contract procedures
- Creating Contract Administration Plans
- General administration of Contracts and maintain a professional standard of work.
- Supplier performance reviews
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Contract Management.
- Business Management and Commercial qualifications will be highly regarded.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience delivering complex projects ideally within the resource sector.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Proven experience in writing for executive audiences, including briefs and reports.
- Previous experience negotiating and managing contracts or Supply Contracts will be highly regarded.
- Be able to assist in the development and implementation of commercial contracts management systems, policies, and procedures.
- A high level of commercial proficiency with the ability to navigate complex deal structures.
- Positively influence, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external partners/clients with conflicting interests and priorities.
