Casino Medical Centre is currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our team. We are seeking a person with:

  • Excellent communication skills, telephone and interpersonal
  • A professional approach and excellent work ethic
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated high level of computer skills

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing appointments and welcoming patients as the first point of contact within the centre
  • Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with enquiries
  • Attending to patient billing and processing payments
  • Providing high quality, accurate and efficient reception and administration services
  • Banking
  • Incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • End of day reconciliation

What you'll need to succeed in this role

  • Ability to show initiative and work independently as required
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task - prioritising patient care
  • Work well under pressure
  • Be reliable and well presented
  • Must be available to cover various shifts from 8am to 6pm Mon - Fri
  • Applicants should be prepared to meet immunisation requirements relevant to working in a health care environment.

Desirable but not essential

  • Previous experience in medical reception
  • Previous experience in the use of Best Practice Software
  • An understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule
