From older Australians and their families to people facing significant disadvantage, our passion and our priority are the customers we serve. We strive to deliver care as it should be – with people right at the centre.

The Position

The Integrated Family Services (IFS) Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a high quality, culturally sensitive and accessible service to vulnerable children, young people and their families. The families we work with present with a range of complex issues including drug and alcohol, family violence, mental health, homelessness, and cycles of disadvantage and poverty. Through outreach, primarily in the family home, the IFS program offers a longer term, voluntary case management model incorporating comprehensive safety and risk assessments, case planning, group work, and linkages with informal and formal community. Baptcare is an active member of the Child and Family Services Alliances in Brimbank Melton and Western Melbourne areas.

The IFS Practitioner maintains service excellence by providing leadership, consultancy, advice, supervision, support and monitoring of services to families referred through the Child First system. The Team Leader works closely with their team, Program Manager and Integrated Child and Family Services, to ensure that services are delivered within the relevant guidelines, budget and reporting requirements of the Department of Health and Human Services (DFFH).

A key focus of the role is working in partnership with other services involved to provide an integrated service within the Best Interests Case Practice Framework.
