Working as a Lawyer in our team, you'll provide legal advice and guidance to the Commercial Insurance business of a large general insurer, ensuring that Suncorp's interests are protected in a complex regulatory environment. Your advice will be central to product development, regulatory compliance, claims and distribution, enabling our business to adapt, innovate, and comply with key regulatory standards.

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality legal advice in respect of the interpretation and drafting of product disclosure statements and policy wordings
  • Review, draft and advise on contractual documentation including broker and other intermediary agreements
  • Provide guidance on compliance with financial services legislation and other relevant regulation such as privacy laws
  • Provide advice on the insurer's liability on commercial claims and advice on the application of the Insurance Contracts Act
  • Partner with stakeholders on review of customer facing materials including marketing, websites and customer portals

What You'll Bring

  • Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court
  • 5 plus years post admission experience, preferably within a top tier law firm, a general insurer or within the financial services industry
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills
