Senior Commercial Lawyer

About the role:

Join a growing boutique law firm in Mascot where you will lead high quality commercial matters with autonomy, a dedicated paralegal team and a genuine pathway into senior leadership and Partnership. This is a role for a commercially minded lawyer who wants influence, balance and a team that truly backs one another.

You will partner with down to earth clients who value practical advice and respectful relationships, and you will feel supported by a close, friendly team that collaborates, celebrates wins together and steps in when things get busy.

What you will do:

·       Lead commercial matters across contracts, transactions, risk mitigation and dispute

·       Negotiate confidently with clients, suppliers and key partner

·       Manage your own matters with autonomy and attention to detail

·       Build advisory relationships with clients who value honesty, responsiveness and commercial insight

·       Work directly with the Managing Partner to shape the Commercial practice

·       Mentor junior team members as we continue to expand

·       Provide commercial input on business decisions for clients, helping them grow and protect value

·       Manage a mix of front-end work and commercial disputes to keep the role varied and interesting

·       Contribute to business development activities where your relationships naturally evolve

What you will bring:

·       Minimum 5 years PAE in Commercial Law (NSW admitted)

·       Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory capability

·       Ability to engage directly with business owners and decision makers

·       A collaborative approach and ambition to grow into leadership
