About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager preferably RN or EN to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy clinics. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working with Best Practice Software, a thorough understanding of local Brisbane healthcare services, and strong leadership skills to manage clinic staff and ensure excellent patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of clinics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning daily.
  • Knowledge of PIPS + WIPS claiming.
  • Knowledge of applying Grants if any available for clinics.
  • Coordinate staff rostering, Doctor's recruitment (paperwork for new doctor eg:- health work force), and professional development, including clinical and administrative teams.
  • Organize Doctor's rosters for leave and re-schedule their patients while on leave.
  • Utilize Best Practice Software to maintain accurate patient records, manage appointments if needed and reporting.
  • Create Doctors profile in Best Practice software and registering them with Medicare as well as create account for e-scripts, radiology, pathology
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality, and clinics policies.
  • Renewal of accreditation in collaboration with nurses and quality improvement activities to uphold the highest clinical governance standards, maintain and observe the standards & eligibility
  • Act as a liaison with local healthcare providers, government bodies, and Brisbane health services PHN South to foster relationships and maintain awareness of healthcare initiatives (such as incentives programs).
  • Implement cost controls and monitor expenditure to maintain budgetary discipline.
  • Address patient enquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a welcoming patient environment
  • Guide and motivate staff to deliver excellent patient care and professional service.
  • Participate in clinic marketing and community engagement to promote service and expand Business thru advertising and digital marketing.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Preferable RN & EN Nurse.
  • Proven experience in a practice management role within a Brisbane south healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in Best Practice Software and other clinical management.
  • Sound knowledge of Brisbane south PHN healthcare landscape, including local health networks, policies, and community health initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound financial acumen including budget management.

Desirable Attributes

  • Previous experience managing accreditation and compliance processes within general practice or allied health
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to continuous professional development for self and staff
