Browns Plains State School is seeking applications for a Deputy Principal to join its high performing leadership team. As Deputy Principal you will focus on improving educational outcomes for students, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, and fostering positive relationships between students, staff, the
community, and key stakeholders.

About the Role:

As the Deputy Principal, you will work to improve the educational outcomes of students at Browns Plains Stae School, support the development and enhancement of teaching and learning quality, and foster positive relationships among students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Lead with Vision and Purpose: Support the Principal in guiding the school community to develop and commit to a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Model Ethical and Values-Based Leadership: Uphold the deputy principalship as a moral and ethical role, embedding socially just and inclusive practices throughout school life.
  • Promote Excellence and Professional Growth: Set high expectations for student achievement and staff performance while engaging in ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Collaborate and Build Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, government agencies, community groups, industry, and business to enhance educational opportunities.
  • Drive Strategic and Responsible Management: Apply legislative and policy knowledge to strategically manage school resources and plan for future-focused success.
