Position: Experienced Dental Assistant/Immediate Start

Location: Choice Dental – Established for over 25 years, we are a fully accredited, patient-focused practice offering a broad range of services, including Preventative, Restorative, Orthodontics, Implant, and Cosmetic Dentistry. Located in a vibrant community, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to local families.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. If you're motivated, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you

About the Role:

  • Position Type: Casual/consistent hours with the opportunity for additional permanent hours for the right candidate.
  • Hours: 3-4 days per week hours depending on candidate)
  • Flexibility: There's potential for additional shifts and longer hours, allowing you to increase your schedule based on availability and performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide chairside assistance to our Dentists & Oral Health Therapists
  • Maintain a sterile environment by performing sterilisation duties in line with current infection control protocols
  • Assist with the preparation of dental surgeries and patient charting
  • Offer administrative support including HICAPS payments, answering calls, and responding to patient inquiries
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, helping patients feel comfortable and cared for

What We're Looking For:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of Dental Assistant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of sterilisation and infection control procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with dental software and HICAPS is a plus
  • Compassionate with a focus on patient care
