Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager located in Surry Hills, NSW. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include developing and implementing business strategies, managing budgets, and improving operational efficiency.

General Manager
, you'll be the driving force behind Nook Collections' operations and strategic growth. You'll lead across finance, operations, team leadership, and client engagement—ensuring our brand shines both online and in our showroom.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Nook's vision and performance goals.
- Deliver monthly and annual targets—sales, margins, and customer satisfaction.
2. Operations & Inventory
- Oversee daily operations and implement efficient processes
- Collaborate with Director in implementation of structure to sustain growth
3. Financial Management
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities to optimise profitability.
4. Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and mentor a small, multidisciplinary team (e.g. marketing, showroom staff).
- Foster an environment rooted in creativity, customer focus, and design-driven excellence.
5. Brand & Growth Opportunities
- Assist in marketing strategy and brand positioning across digital and physical channels.
- Identify new sales channels, expansion opportunities, and partnerships.
You Are:
- A natural leader—strategic,
hands-on
, and results-oriented. - Passionate about design, retail operations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proficient with e-commerce platforms , CRM (e.g., Shopify), financial planning, and retail analytics.
- Adaptable, creative, and skilled at managing both the online and offline sides of the business.
- You do have a Degree or a Master in Business Management
- You have 3+ Years in a similar position
