Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with manufacturers and suppliers (new and existing) in the building, infrastructure, fitout, packaging, personal and cleaning products industries;
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers;
- Understand and communicate technical specifications and product features to customers;
- Provide accurate and timely quotations to customers working with existing automated Saleforce Systems and existing team members.
- Assisting with any non automated remaining sales admin;
- Collaborate cooperatively with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, including project management, technical understandings and analysis/matching of their products with our services, and customer service;
- Attend and be involved in setting up displays at industry events, exhibitions and trade shows to promote services and develop sales and partner relationships;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions within the Salesforce custom automated environment and issuing timely reporting.
The role requires:
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales environments account management and sales in the building and infrastructure products, or architectural fittings markets (relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage);
- The ability to approach, influence and negotiate with senior level executives, and to interact and engage successfully with a variety of stakeholders whether by phone, email or in person;
- Sound listening and presentation skills;
- A proactive, detailed and resolution-focused mindset;
- Salesforce data management (preferred) and MS Office capability and experience;
- Strong capability to understand technical services, product specifications and product features;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- A well-presented, outgoing, empathetic and personable personality;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and sales skills;
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in parallel;
- A willingness to travel as needed (not extensively and mostly domestic);
- Drivers licence essential. No car provided but kilometre rates are (little use locally as most clients are interstate).
