Supply Chain Manager – Manufacturing Sector

Here's your opportunity to lead, optimise and transform a highly technical production supply chain from end to end.
What's the role about:
You'll be responsible for every link in the supply chain — from sourcing raw materials to ensuring on-time delivery of finished products. You'll work closely with the Managing Director to plan, implement and refine systems that drive operational excellence, improve efficiency and deliver results that keep customers satisfied and production running smoothly.
Key Focus Areas:
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to drive value and ensure quality.
- Ensure timeous delivery of all materials and consumables.
- Inventory, Stores & Assembly
- Manage stores and assembly operations.
- Implement and improve systems for stock control and process efficiency.
- Analyse slow-moving or obsolete stock and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and sustain production planning systems to ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
- Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory control.
- Prepare and present reports to support informed decision-making.
- Inbound & Outbound Logistics
- Optimise transport, logistics, and distribution channels.
- Manage import/export documentation and ensure cost-effective delivery solutions.
- Enhance processes for inventory, shipment, and returns management.
- 5+ years' experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or operations leadership.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field (NQF 7).
- A proven track record of improving efficiency, reducing costs, and building supplier partnerships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
