Key Focus Areas:
Legal & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with the OHS Act and related legislation.
- Schedule and manage external audits, risk assessments, and medical surveillance.
- Maintain and update the company's Health & Safety Management System and environmental plans.

- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and report to relevant authorities where necessary.
- Prepare and present SHE performance reports, statistics and corrective action plans.
- Manage HIRA assessments and ensure risk profiles are up to date.
- Identify and coordinate safety-related training (first aid, firefighting, forklift, safety reps, etc.).
- Conduct safety inductions for employees, contractors and visitors.
- Promote SHE awareness through toolbox talks, posters and ongoing communication.
- Matric (Grade 12) essential.
- SAMTRAC / NEBOSH certification or equivalent SHE qualification.
- SO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation and auditing experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong report writing, auditing and communication skills.
