Position Summary
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Perth workshop and field support activities. You will be responsible for end-to-end planning, including labor, logistics, materials, and work scope development, with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective outcomes. Your work will directly impact the success of our operations by enabling seamless coordination and execution of workshop schedules, minimizing disruptions, and maximizing productivity. This role requires strong collaboration across departments to streamline processes, resolve potential issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement in operational performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Project & Workscope Planning
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure workshop requirements are clearly understood and integrated.
- Review and validate scopes of work (SOW) for accuracy and completeness in workshop service requests.
- Develop and maintain detailed, resource-aligned workshop schedules that meet both internal and customer requirements.
- Create and deliver comprehensive work packages to the workshop team for seamless execution.
- Develop and implement planning system strategies to improve supply chain signals.
Resource & Execution Management
- Ensure all required resources—including labor and materials—are effectively planned and available to support a "clean to start" execution.
- Monitor and manage workshop execution to ensure alignment with budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate timely resolution of issues or barriers that may impact execution.
Field Operations & Demand Management
- Manage demand planning and material support for field operations, including offshore ROV activities, inspection services, and tooling rentals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supply and demand dates to support operational readiness.
Stakeholder Communication & Risk Mitigation
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding constraints, risks, and mitigation plans to ensure continuity and minimize disruptions.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal teams and cross-functional partners.
Inventory Management
- Manage part change control and ensure minimal excess or obsolete inventory.
- Contribute to inventory strategy and support day-to-day adjustments to maintain optimal stock levels for effective operational support.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and develop the planning function in alignment with business strategy and operational needs.
- Provide planning guidance and leadership to individuals, teams, and management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align planning efforts and drive process improvements.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate planning effectiveness.
- Support the implementation of new tools and solutions to enhance planning capabilities.
- Utilize planning systems (Oracle Cloud Planning) and tools (e.g., Excel, BI Dashboards) for decision-making and reporting.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management. Proven extensive experience in relevant field can be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of direct supply chain planning experience.
- The candidate requires a clear understanding of supply chain and Planning fundamentals
- Strong demonstrated critical thinking and logic skills with proven track record of success in a complex production and assembly LEAN environment.
- Excellent negotiating, communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills.
- Handling of multiple tasks and responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
- Finding solutions to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Experience in materials management
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Knowledge of 6S and lean principals.

- Knowledge of MS Office and Oracle Fusion ERP System.
