Senior Partner

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Bank of Queensland Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role

Here at BOQ Group, we are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior Partner, Privacy and Consumer Data Right to join the Group Risk division, in a brand-new role. As the Senior Partner – Privacy and Consumer Data Right, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how BOQ Group protects customer's personal information and meets evolving regulatory expectations. You'll lead the charge in crafting and maintaining privacy policies, consent mechanisms, and data handling protocols that reflect our commitment to transparency and trust. Your expertise will guide the business through complex regulatory landscapes—including the Privacy Act, Credit Reporting Code, and CDR Rules—while influencing how we design products and transformation initiatives with privacy at their core. From supporting Privacy Impact Assessments to advising on breach management, you'll play a critical role in embedding privacy into every customer journey and digital experience. With a sharp eye on emerging risks and regulatory trends, you'll help future-proof our compliance frameworks and inspire a proactive, values-driven culture through training and stakeholder engagement.

This is a role for someone who thrives on purpose, leads with integrity, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact.

About you

To succeed in this role, you'll bring deep expertise in privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance within the banking or financial services sector. You'll have a strong understanding of the Privacy Act, Credit Reporting Code, and the Consumer Data Right framework, along with a proven ability to lead complex compliance initiatives and influence senior stakeholders. Your analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and clear communication skills will be essential, as will your familiarity with risk and control frameworks, including control design and assurance activities.

Just as importantly, you'll align with our values—showing care for our customers and each other, being bold in your thinking, and delivering with integrity and accountability.
