We are looking for a highly organised, motivated designer, to join Walnut Melbourne as a Footwear Designer, leading our women's and children's collections from concept to creation.   • Design Walnut Melbourne Women's Footwear Summer & Winter Ranges
  • Design Goldie The Label Range
  • Design Kids Footwear Summer & Winter Ranges
  • Develop and sketch CAD designs as necessary for presentations and specification sheets
  • Manage end to end life of product development, from initial concept through to bulk production
  • Manage overseas QC and local QC processes
  • Manage all women's and kid's samples to ensure they arrive on time for sales period and photoshoots
  • Research and identify key trends, items, colours and styles for each season, aligning them with the brand aesthetic.
  • Liaise with factories and suppliers to develop and produce required products
  • Negotiate cost-effective agreements with factories, suppliers and agents to meet margin objectives.
  • Conducting fit sessions for all styles proceeding to bulk production, and document all fitting notes in concise formatting for suppliers
  • Collaborate and manage campaign and ecommerce photoshoots for seasonal collections
  • Manage shipments of footwear bulk production with shipping agent
  • Assist on purchase order management
  • Undertake overseas sourcing trips
  • Ensure that critical path timeline is adhered to
  • Develop prints for Kids Canvas footwear program
