About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This includes:

  • Promoting independence, skill-building, and social inclusion
  • Supporting clients through meaningful daily activities
  • Encouraging community participation
  • Providing active and positive behaviour support
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred support in a day program setting

Day program shifts are typically between 9:00am – 3:00pm, with occasional earlier or later start times.


What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in delivering person-centred support services
  • Knowledge and practical application of active support and positive behaviour support
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • A reliable, motivated, and positive team player

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and Disability Services Standards

Conditions of Employment

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have (or be willing to obtain):

  • A valid Driver's Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid Certificate
