About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual or part-time basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is well-organized, and thrives in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage incoming calls, appointment bookings, and patient enquiries
  • Process billings, payments, and Medicare claims
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Support clinicians and administrative staff with day-to-day operations
  • Assist with general office duties as required

About You:

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist (or in a similar administrative role) preferred but applications also welcomed from Juniors
  • Familiarity with medical software such as Best Practice / Genie / Pracsoft (or willingness to learn)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • A caring, professional, and positive attitude
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including possible afternoons or Saturdays
