AIC Mines owns the Eloise Copper Mine located near Cloncurry, QLD.  Eloise is an underground mine with conventional crush-grind-float processing to produce a high-quality copper-gold concentrate.  AIC Mines has recently commenced an expansion of the Eloise operation following the acquisition of the nearby Jericho resource. The Company also owns a portfolio copper and gold exploration projects located across Australia.

AIC Mines is listed on the ASX under the code A1M.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Mine Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Creating safe and effective drill and blast designs.
  • Daily production data capturing and reporting.
  • Assist in the scheduling and coordination of activities.
  • Develop and communicate weekly and 13-week schedules.
  • Conduct project work as required.
  • Project management.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive work culture.
  • Consulting with the development and production to efficiently deliver schedule.
  • Contributing to a safe and reliable operation.

The position is FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns.  Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute via bus from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply.  This is a permanent position on an 8 days on 6 days off roster.  Accommodation is provided onsite at the Eloise Copper Mine 65km from Cloncurry.

About You:

  • A bachelor's degree in mining engineering or similar.
  • At least 2 years of mining engineering experience.
  • Practical and analytical approach to engineering and design problems.
  • Knowledge in underground metalliferous mining.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and Deswik.
  • Strong safety commitment and improvement mindset.
