Join a national peak industry association and help shape the future of Australia's irrigation training. We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Training Compliance Officer to support our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operations and ensure quality compliance across our training programs.
About Us
Irrigation Australia is the national voice for the irrigation industry. We provide training, certification, and leadership to support efficient and sustainable water management across urban, agricultural, and environmental sectors.
About the Role
The Training Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that our RTO maintains compliance with the VET Quality Framework, state funding contracts, and internal policies.
This position supports trainers, students, and industry partners — ensuring high standards in training delivery, quality assurance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Monitor and maintain RTO compliance with regulatory and funding requirements.
- Coordinate internal audits and assist with external audit preparation.
- Conduct QA checks to ensure student and training records meet compliance standards.
- Track and manage training package updates and version control of materials.
State Funding Administration
- Prepare and submit funding applications and data reports (e.g., NAT files).
- Maintain and update funding information across multiple state programs.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and deadlines for funding extensions and changes.
Trainer and Student Support
- Support trainers and assessors with documentation, onboarding, and QA.
- Maintain trainer qualification and PD records.
- Provide assistance and training on systems such as VETtrak, Moodle, or ReadySkills.
- Deliver responsive service to students, trainers, and stakeholders.
General Administration
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in RTO systems and procedures.
- Support internal teams with communication and reporting as required.
About You
You are organised, proactive, and thrive in a structured environment. You have:
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in RTO compliance, training administration, or similar.
- Strong understanding of the VET Quality Framework and funding reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with VETtrak, Moodle, or ReadySkills (desirable).
If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and support excellence in vocational education, we'd love to hear from you.
