Reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead based in Brisbane, you'll be a part of our dedicated Quality Assurance Team, undertaking investigations and very detailed work across all aspects of quality assurance, including providing advice, mentoring, and written and verbal support to our Centre Directors and Operations Team. You will play a critical role in assisting with policy development and reviews, regulatory responses, reporting, data analysis, and be immersed in initiatives and projects with a focus on quality improvement across all aspects of operations.
Day to day, you will:
- Live and breathe our Green Leaves Commitments in your daily work;
- Uphold, and provide overviews and advice regarding Safeguarding Children projects and work;
- Conduct investigations using a detailed analysis and reporting framework;
- Oversee accurate Working With Children Checks records nationally, managing all compliance requirements;
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Quality Assurance Leader and Head of Operations;
- Work collaboratively with our Centre Directors and Operations Teams to implement improvement strategies;
- Use your exceptional knowledge of the National Law and National Regulations and the NQF to navigate through each day;
- Stay current with early childhood education regulations and communicate and prepare information, documents and learning opportunities for Centre Directors and Team Members;
- Assist centres in preparing for regulatory assessments and external audits, with the opportunity to develop compliance tools and resources to support operational excellence;
- Provide guidance and advice to our Centre Directors as required;
- Work with our Operations Team, and support the development, review and maintenance of Quality Improvement Plans;
- Maintain systems, data, and compliance records to ensure quality standards are consistently met; and
- Conduct regular analysis, identifying trends and patterns.
From time to time, you may be required to travel interstate to visit our various Centres throughout Australia.
You will hold:
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience in a similar role;
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education;
- A current state relevant Working with Children's Check and Police Check;
- Current Child Protection Trainng (or willingness to obtain upon commencement);
- A detailed understanding of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations;
- Sound experience with and implementation of the National Quality Standards;
- Proven experience in compliance management, auditing, or quality assurance;
- Knowledge of State-specific Child Safe Standards and Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting legislation (or willingness to obtain);
- Knowledge of risk management principles, policy development and reviews and incident assessments and management;
- Regulatory Authority experience and a proven track record in managing and conducting formal investigations;
- Experience in the Assessment and Rating process and exhibited skills in preparing and maintaining Quality Improvement Plan;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills engagement;
- Strong skills in collaborating and working closely with others to achieve outcomes;
- Sound written and verbal communication skills;
- A professional and polished approach, and the ability to deal with people in a variety of situations and at all levels;
- The ability to work with compassion and empathy as well as resilience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PowerPoint;
- A fun and positive outlook, paired with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment;
- Project management skills and experience in policy development;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a solution-based focus, and an exemplary commitment to high standards; and
- Training and facilitation experience.
