About the Role

Golden West Apprenticeships is seeking a proactive and community-minded Community Engagement and Recruitment Coordinator to join our team.

In this dynamic role, you'll blend recruitment and employment placement activities with community engagement and promotional outreach. Reporting directly to the GM, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting job seekers with apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities while representing Golden West Apprenticeships across schools, events, and regional forums.

Key Responsibilities

As the Community Engagement and Recruitment Coordinator, you will:

  • Deliver professional, high-quality recruitment services to candidates and clients.
  • Promote Golden West Apprenticeships through schools, career expos, community events, and media channels.
  • Develop and submit award nominations to celebrate the achievements of apprentices, trainees, and host employers.
  • Conduct targeted outreach activities to strengthen brand awareness and identify collaboration opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, employers, and community partners.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes including candidate screening, interviews, and job matching.
  • Champion apprenticeship pathways and workforce development across regional communities.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience in marketing, community engagement, or recruitment, ideally within education, training, or NFP sectors.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, with attention to detail.
  • Confidence in writing or willingness to learn award nominations, reports, and promotional material.
  • Understanding of HR and compliance principles, including WHS, EEO, Anti-Discrimination, and Privacy.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the region.
