The Company

To meet the requirements of our rapidly growing Financial Services business, we are on the lookout for exceptional staff to join our high performing team. 

Based out of our beautiful waterfront office in Newcastle, we have a rare opportunity for a Portfolio Manager / Equities Analyst to join our team.

The Role

In this role you will identify and conduct detailed due diligence on listed equity investments and strategies which have the potential to improve the likelihood of our Funds meeting their investment objective. As a Portfolio Manager / Equities Analyst you will lead the on-going monitoring and management of current Australian and global listed equity investments and will be accountable for the analysis and delivery of reporting relating to each portfolio, exposures, performance and risk and deliver timely reports to key stakeholders.

Skills required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in portfolio management, research or analytical role in funds management, asset consulting or related discipline
  • Tertiary degree in finance or related discipline. CFA is highly desirable
  • Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to make tough decisions backed by research
  • Broad knowledge of the listed equity funds management landscape and the approach institutional investors take to building an effective portfolio of exposures to equity investments
  • Self-starter who can organise and manage projects autonomously and also work effectively as part of a team
  • Innovative problem solving and decision-making with a focus on service delivery excellence and achievement of business objectives
