About the Role
This Dynamic and rapidly expanding business is looking to add a Strategic Business Development Manager to help drive one of their core consulting domains. This is a senior leadership role with accountability for new client acquisition, client outcomes, team leadership, and commercial success. You will have deep expertise in data and analytics, a strong consulting background, and a proven ability to grow and lead high-performing teams.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at selling B2B professional services, has an established network in enterprise accounts, and builds trusted partnerships that deliver genuine business value.
In this role:
- You must have sold services to clients within Data Analytics space
- You must have existing relationships with C-level decision-makers across a number of industries.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to shape service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and capability development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants, fostering a culture of high performance and excellence.
- Lead the delivery of large-scale, high-impact data projects for key clients.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a strategic advisor on data and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Consulting Services to ensure delivery aligns with the business strategy.
- Manage practice-level KPIs, including revenue, gross margin, utilisation, and billable rate.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution scoping, proposal, closing
- Leverage your network to create warm opportunities and fast-track deal velocity
- Establish relationships with key technology partners, including Microsoft, Databricks, and other leading companies.
- Leverage partner programs for lead generation, co-marketing opportunities, training, and access to resources that enhance delivery and visibility.
- Act as a domain expert and thought leader, representing the market through events, content, and client engagements.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance to consultants.
About You
- 10+ years in data & analytics, with at least 5 years in a consulting leadership and sales capacity
- Deep expertise in modern data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Power BI/Fabric.
- Proven ability to lead delivery teams and scale consulting capabilities.
- Strong client engagement skills – you thrive in strategic conversations and executive level stakeholder management.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a collaborative, hands on leadership style.
- A natural people leader – able to inspire, coach, and lead a culturally diverse team.
