We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team on a casual basis. This role is classified under Level 4 of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award = $35.15, suitable for experienced professionals who can work independently and contribute creatively to our dessert offerings. We are able to provide a range of 14 to 24 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in menu development and seasonal dessert planning.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support team operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a commercial kitchen.
  • Formal culinary qualification in patisserie or baking.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in presentation.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Casual loading and penalty rates as applicable.

  • Compliance with Fair Work Australia standards.
