Practice Manager - Cornwall St Medical Centre & South Brisbane Urgent Care Clinic
Cornwall Street Medical Centre, a clinic of UQ Health Care, cares for the local community with an emphasis on wellness and preventative care. Located in Woolloongabba, Cornwall Street Medical Centre service Brisbane's inner southside and neighbouring suburbs, as well as welcoming city commuters and patients passing through the city fringe. Integrated within the Medical Centre, UQHC also operates the South Brisbane Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, providing GP led urgent and immediate health services to the local community.

The Role: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Practice Manager to join our dynamic team, for a fixed term maternity leave position. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our Medical Practice and Medicare Urgent Care Clinic at Cornwall Street.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly engaged practice manager to lead our dedicated team of GPs, nurses, reception staff and allied health professionals, to continually strive to make UQ Health Care a better place for employees to work, for clinicians to practice and for patients to receive care.
Key responsibilities include:
· Continue to build the practice into a thriving Medical and Specialist Centre
· Management of all business operations within both Cornwall St clinics, including IT, OHS, HR, Tenancy management and external stakeholder management
· Lead compliance and reporting for the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic
· Recruitment and retention of GPs
· Induction and training and new team members including GPs
· Generating efficiency and improvements through the development of staff and processes
· Driving innovation and best practice techniques
· Oversee and manage the clinic accreditation process
· Overseeing financial performance of the practice including annual budget preparation
· Develop the clinics yearly operations plan
· Be part of a team of PM's and Ops Managers across the UQHC group and contribute to UQHC strategic plan
You will strive for excellence and drive outstanding performance of the service through strong leadership.
The Person: Applicants must have:
· Previous practice management experience (minimum of 3 – 5 years)
· Previous accreditation/quality management experience;
· A good working knowledge of computerized practice management and accounting systems. Experience with Best Practice (a must);
· Excellent organizational and time management skills;
· High level interpersonal skills to relate well to patients, staff, health care professionals and external stakeholders;
· Passion for your role to take pride in seeing the service grow and be successful.
Remuneration: This is a full time, fixed term role (approximately 14 months). A competitive salary package will be negotiated. As a Not for Profit with charitable status, you will be entitled to attractive salary sacrificing arrangements.
