Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

About the Role
The Training and Development Administration Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Training and Development team by maintaining accurate training records, completing data entry tasks, and managing all training-related information systems. The role ensures that training data is up to date, accessible, and compliant with organisational standards, while supporting the smooth coordination and delivery of staff learning and development programs. Your role will focus on managing data and communication for both accredited and non-accredited training, covering a wide range of areas to enhance skills across our diverse services. You will report to the Learning and Development Specialist and maintain all training records efficiently with implementation of process improvement where there is a need. The role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, vibrant team dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of the Ngaanyatjarra people, while driving excellence across the NCG's wide-reaching services. Flexibility will be key, as you adapt to the diverse needs of the workforce and the dynamic environment in which NCG operates.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated Experience in Training Administration: Proven ability to manage end-to-end training logistics including scheduling, participant enrolments, compliance recordkeeping, and liaising with training providers or facilitators.
- Strong Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal staff, external partners, and diverse stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and positive relationships across all levels.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and Administrative Tools: Competent in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and digital platforms to track training activities, generate reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Cultural Competence and Experience Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples: Understanding of, and respect for, Indigenous cultures, with prior experience supporting programs or initiatives in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities considered highly advantageous.
About You
You are an experienced Learning and Development Administrator with a strong background in managing data and communication for training programmes. You bring a minimum of 2 years' experience in the L&D field, with a focus on supporting diverse teams and stakeholders.
You are highly adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, community-focused environment, where the ability to collaborate with various groups is essential.
You are skilled in a range of learning methods and administrative tasks associated with Learning and Development, from in-person sessions to virtual training.
You thrive under pressure, with excellent organisational skills that allow you to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to ensuring that the training and development initiatives help strengthen the workforce and support the communities we serve.
