Location: Yarrawonga, Victoria
Yarrawonga Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Urgent Care Centre.
This part-time, fixed-term opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with emergency/urgent care experience who is ready to step into a leadership role in a supportive and community-focused rural health service.
About the RoleAs the Clinical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in our Urgent Care Centre. With approximately 5,000 presentations annually, our Urgent Care Centre serves a diverse patient population and offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
You will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight while working closely with the Acute Nurse Unit Manager, Executive Team, After-Hours Coordinators, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day operations of the Urgent Care Centre
- Maintain and promote contemporary, patient-focused clinical standards
- Monitor patient care delivery, documentation, and safety
- Supervise and support staff, students, and junior nurses
- Drive continuous quality improvement and risk management
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
- Support staff development and a culture of professional growth
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Emergency/Urgent Care setting
- Proven leadership and clinical supervision experience
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing
- Experience in rural health settings
- Financial or budget management experience
- Demonstrated innovation in program and service delivery
- Work in a growing, community-driven health service
- Enjoy a collaborative, supportive, and flexible team environment
