About the role:
The Clinical Governance Coordinator is responsible for Clinical Governance activities to ensure the quality of clinical care and compliance. Adhering to the Clinical Governance Framework the Clinical Governance Coordinator with be responsible for system monitoring, incident reporting (including to external bodies), identification, monitoring and escalation of clinical risks and ensuring policies and procedures are being complied with. Compliance will be monitored by developing and reviewing regular audits to improve clinical outcomes. The role will also be involved in assisting initiation, planning, rollout, and monitoring of clinical governance continuous improvement projects. This is a permanent full-time position, based in our head office.
In the role of Clinical Governance Coordinator, you will work as an integral member of the Clinical, Care and Quality team to support the clinical risk (incident) management, reporting into the Quality Manager.
What You Will Do:
- In this expert clinical governance role, your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring understanding and adherence to clinical governance systems, industry standards, policies and legislation
- Monitoring practices against organisational standards
- Supporting implementation of outcome measurements
- Developing capabilities for analysis/reporting on client outcomes to drive continuous improvement
- Identifying and implementing enhancements to improve client experience and care
You Will Bring:
- Registered with APHRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Qualification in Management/Continuous Improvement (Desirable)
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a continuous improvement/quality role
- Proficiency in IT systems like Word, Excel, clinical documentation
- Computer literacy and demonstrated competence in a variety of software packages
- Ability to lead projects, problem-solving and implementation skills
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Mandatory)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Completion Certificate (Mandatory)
