About the Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Grounds Support Officer plays a key role in maintaining the school's outdoor spaces and supporting events and activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Routine gardening and grounds maintenance
  • Event setup and pack-down
  • Minor repairs and small project work
  • WHS checks and safe work practices
  • General support for the Facilities and ICT teams

This role contributes directly to the wellbeing and experience of students and staff by ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

Essential Criteria

A personal commitment to the King's vision, mission and values underpinning the delivery of a Christian-based education to students is essential to this role. The role also requires:

  • Practical skills in grounds and facility maintenance
  • A collaborative, flexible and proactive approach
  • Strong WHS knowledge and safe work practices
  • Physical fitness suited to outdoor work and varied terrain
  • Relevant licenses and experience in minor repairs
  • Current driver's license and first aid certificate
  • Working with Children check and Mandatory Reporting certification

Salary and conditions are aligned with the King's Baptist Grammar School Enterprise Agreement.
