Are you a hands-on technician who thrives on solving problems, keeping systems running, and delivering great service to customers? Emmetts is seeking a Service Technician to join our Irrigation team and support farmers with their Valley and other brand centre pivot irrigation systems across South Australia. Whilst you will be based in our Murray Bridge branch, this role is considered hybrid with flexibility to travel straight to customer from your home.

About the Role

As a Service Technician in our Irrigation team, you'll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting centre pivot irrigation systems and water delivery products. You'll work closely with our Irrigation Sales/Service Operations team to deliver exceptional support to customers, keeping their businesses running smoothly and helping grow Emmetts' irrigation presence.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll combine technical know-how with problem-solving, autonomy, and teamwork to deliver high-quality service.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain centre pivot and lateral irrigation systems.
  • Install and upgrade irrigation components to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Assist in the promotion of aftermarket service and parts sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Accurately record service hours, parts usage, and job details.
  • Travel frequently across South Australia and interstate to support our customers.

What You'll Bring

  • Problem-solving mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay away when required.
  • Australian working rights

Candidates who have the following would be highly regarded:

  • Australian driver's licence (MR/HR licence required).
  • Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or related field.
  • Willingness to obtain a B-Class electrical licence if not already held.
  • Knowledge of centre pivot irrigation systems.
  • Previous experience in irrigation or the agricultural industry.
  • Experience with irrigation software and system compatibility.
