The Brisbane German Club is now in its 143rd year of operation, cementing its position as Queensland's oldest ethnic club.

Our Club has a strong following and a formidable reputation for its German customs, entertainment, beer, and cuisine.

We run a "tavern style" menu that sees us serve between 50 and 350 pax in a typical service, or 500+ on event and festival days.

The Club is looking to fill two positions at the chef de partie/sous chef level .

Applicants from all levels are encouraged, and all modes will be considered (casual, part-time, full-time, salaried).  Please specify your ideal position and hours in your cover letter.

What we're looking for:

  • Commercial cookery qualifications
  • Food safety qualifications (food handler minimum, supervisor preferred)
  • Experience working in fast-paced high-volume venues
  • Passion for quality food
  • A can-do attitude
  • Willingness to learn and become part of a close-knit team
  • To be punctual, well-presented, and dedicated
  • Strong food knowledge across multiple styles, preferably German cuisine
