Medical Receptionist – Radiology 

Location: Clayton, Victoria

Employment Type: Full-Time  

Position Overview

We are seeking aa customer focused, dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our front-of-house team at Scope Radiology. This integral role supports both patients and clinical staff, ensuring a seamless experience and efficient operations within our practice.

This will be a Full-Time position Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival

  • Manage appointment bookings via phone and digital systems

  • Accurately process patient registrations, referrals, and consents

  • Liaise effectively with radiologists, technicians, and referring clinicians

  • Handle billing, Medicare claims, and private health fund interactions with precision

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of patient records

  • Uphold a clean, welcoming, and organized reception and waiting area

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a radiology environment is essential
  • Proven experience in customer service and admin roles
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational ability
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Familiarity with medical software systems (PACS, HealthTrack, etc.) is an advantage
  • Understanding of Medicare and health fund billing processes
  • Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanour
  • Highly motivated and quick to learn new skills
  • Thrives both independently and in a team environment
