Western Autistic School is looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist to join their team of 8 therapists.

WAS provides a safe environment to learn where you can develop your skills at your own pace without the pressure of parents observing, in a supportive environment where you are surrounded by your team and senior colleagues, every day. The position is based in Laverton. The campus is in close proximity to the freeway for easy access.

The Roles:

The Allied Health service at Western Autistic School is a consultancy service for teachers. Therapists provide consultancy support to classrooms to help the students achieve their Individual Education Plan goals. This involves working directly with students (either 1:1, or in small groups) in order to provide strategies and recommendations to teachers. Therapy staff also provide crucial professional learning to staff regarding regulation, sensory processing, self-care skills and motor skills.
