Role Description

This is a contractor role for an Occupational Therapist, located in Melbourne, VIC. The Occupational Therapist will assess and evaluate patients' needs, develop tailored therapy plans, and implement treatment programs to improve clients' functional abilities and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities include working closely with individuals and families, focusing on rehabilitation, and providing expert care in therapeutic practices to address physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team may also be required to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Occupational Therapy practices, including rehabilitation techniques.
  • Knowledge of medicine and its applications in therapy and patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience or training in working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Possession of relevant professional certifications and current registration with the relevant authorities in Australia (e.g., AHPRA).
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care and support.
